Azure Site Recovery: Replication Issue — Error Codes and Kernel Compatibility
Problem description
I am experiencing a replication issue with Azure Site Recovery involving a Linux VM. The VM is in a 'Critical' state with errors 153013 (change tracking module not loaded), 153061 (internal agent certificate expired), and 153000 (missing heartbeat) are reported. Attempts to update the ASR agent have failed due to unsupported Linux kernels (7.0.0-1017-azure and 6.17.0-1022-azure). I need guidance on resolving this kernel compatibility issue to restore proper replication.
Environment
Azure Site Recovery, Linux VM (Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS), region not specified.
What I've already tried
I attempted to update the ASR agent, but the update failed with errors indicating the Linux kernel was unsupported. I also rebooted the VM using a previous kernel (6.17.0-1022-azure), but the agent update still failed due to kernel incompatibility. No other environment checks or troubleshooting steps have been documented.
Current status
Currently, the replication remains in a 'Critical' state. I am seeking support to confirm the supported kernel versions and the correct procedure to revert or update the kernel to a supported version compatible with Azure Site Recovery.
Why I have to go through a public forum for a "support" service that gives the same AI answers that ChatGPT/Claude provides for a fraction of the price is beyond me.
