Problem description

I am using BizTalk Server 2020 with the SB-Messaging adapter to communicate with Azure Service Bus over the Service Bus Messaging Protocol (SBMP). Microsoft plans to retire SBMP support on September 30, 2026, which will cause my integrations relying on SBMP to fail. I am requesting hotfix KB5091379 to enable the adapter to use AMQP instead of SBMP.

Environment

BizTalk Server 2020 on-premises with SB-Messaging adapter configured for Azure Service Bus, using various namespaces

What I've already tried

I reviewed the Microsoft Tech Community announcement about SBMP retirement and identified the need for KB5091379. I confirmed that BizTalk Server 2020’s SB-Messaging adapter requires this hotfix to support AMQP. I submitted a support case to obtain the hotfix, but azure ai support's initial response indicated 'No data found,' and no further processing has occurred.

Current status

I am currently awaiting the delivery of hotfix KB5091379.

Hello,
KB5091379 is not published as far as i know.
I cannot find it in Microsoft Update Catalog: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5091379This article explained the KB needs to be requested: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/integrationsonazureblog/service-bus-sbmp-retirement-what-biztalk-server-2020-customers-need-to-know/4513155 (and no news since then)

How to contact DFM ?

Thank you for the clarification.

You are correct that KB5091379 is not currently listed in the Microsoft Update Catalog. The published guidance indicates that the BizTalk Server 2020 hotfix can be obtained by opening a Microsoft Support case and requesting KB5091379.

The hotfix enables AMQP support for the SB-Messaging adapter. Since you already have a support case open, please continue through that case and reference KB5091379 when requesting the hotfix.

Étant donné que le dossier DFM est déjà ouvert et actuellement au stade du dépannage, veuillez poursuivre la collaboration avec l'équipe DFM sur ce problème.

D'après nos investigations, le problème est lié à l'adaptateur SB-Messaging de BizTalk Server 2020 et à l'arrêt prochain du protocole SBMP pour Azure Service Bus, prévu pour le 30 septembre 2026.

Microsoft a publié la mise à jour KB5091379, qui ajoute la prise en charge d'AMQP à l'adaptateur SB-Messaging de BizTalk et fait d'AMQP le protocole de transport par défaut.

Nous vous recommandons de communiquer la KB5091379 à l'équipe DFM, de leur demander si ce correctif s'applique à votre environnement et de solliciter leur aide pour son installation et les tests associés.

Le dossier DFM étant toujours en cours d'examen, nous éviterons de dupliquer les efforts de dépannage et vous recommandons de continuer à traiter la situation via ce dossier pour obtenir une assistance supplémentaire.
