Hi Leonardo Garcia,
When you rename a synced SharePoint or OneDrive folder on the web, the local macOS OneDrive client often retains the previously cached directory structure, preventing the new name from reflecting locally. To force the synchronization of the updated name, you must break the current local cache connection. Click the OneDrive cloud icon in your Mac menu bar, open the Preferences gear, navigate to the Account tab, and choose the option to unlink this Mac.
Once unlinked, you need to clear the old local data to prevent duplicate folder conflicts. Open Finder and navigate to your user profile directory, or check the modern macOS sync location at the ~/Library/CloudStorage path. Locate the incorrectly named folder and either rename it to match the new web version or move it to the Trash if you prefer a clean download. After clearing that old local path, reopen the OneDrive application and sign back in with your credentials. The client will establish a fresh connection to SharePoint and download the correct directory structure. If your Mac refuses to prompt for a new sign-in during this process, you may need to open the macOS Keychain Access utility and delete the cached Microsoft Office credentials to force re-authentication.
