Hi,
For some time I have been looking to be able to exclude admin accounts from searches in Teams, that is to say that we do not want regular accounts to be able to communicate with admin accounts.
To do this from Microsoft Purview in the information partitioning tab we have created two segmentations, one for regular accounts and the other for admin accounts, for this example we will filter the two segmentations based on the user name from two different accounts.
Subsequently we created two strategies, one which blocks communication between the regular account and the admin accounts and the other which blocks communication between the admin and regular accounts.
In the policy application tab here is what we see:

The strategy doesn't seem to be working.
Can you provide us with assistance?
THANKS.

Greetings! I am Ajibola, and I am eager to assist you with confidence and assertiveness. I guarantee to provide you with exceptional support.
There are some possible reasons why the policy is not working, such as:
• The policy has not been applied yet. It may take some time for the policy to take effect after you create or update it. You can check the status of the policy in the Microsoft Purview portal, under the Information barriers tab. If the status is Pending, you may need to wait a few hours or days until it becomes Active.
The policy has been misapplied. You may need to check if the policy has the correct settings and conditions, such as the segmentation names, the communication direction, the policy scope, and the policy priority. You can edit the policy in the Microsoft Purview portal, under the Information barriers tab. You can also use the Test policy feature to see if the policy blocks or allows communication between two users.
The policy has been overridden by another policy. You may have another policy that conflicts with or supersedes the policy that you want to apply. For example, suppose you have a global policy that allows all users to communicate with each other. In that case, it may override the policy that blocks the communication between regular and admin accounts. You can check the policy priority and scope in the Microsoft Purview portal, under the Information barriers tab. You can also use the View Effective Policy feature to see which policy applies to a specific user.
