Contrôle des paramètres, des autorisations et de l’appartenance au sein de Teams et de canaux
Dear Mr. @L'Écuyer, Jean-Philippe,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A!
To clarify your concern: yes, Microsoft Teams does offer moderation tools that allow certain users to delete or manage messages posted by others, but this functionality depends on your role within the team and the settings configured by your IT administrator.
By default:
- Only the author of a message can delete their own content.
- Team owners or users with moderator permissions can delete messages from other members in channel conversations, provided that this feature is enabled in the Teams Admin Center.
To allow deletion of others’ messages:
- Your IT administrator must go to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
- Under Messaging Policies, they can enable the setting: “Owners can delete sent messages”.
- This policy can be applied globally or to specific users/groups (e.g., teachers).
Once enabled, team owners will see the option to delete inappropriate or misplaced messages by clicking the ellipsis (⋯) next to the message and selecting “Delete”.
Additional Notes for Education Tenants
In Microsoft Teams for Education:
- Class Teams offer additional controls for educators, including muting students, restricting posting permissions, and moderating channels.
- For more details: Mute student comments in a class team - Microsoft Support
- You can also configure channel moderation to limit who can start new posts or reply to existing ones.
Warmest Regards.
