Artifact Signing remains in Action Required after successful Verified ID verification
Problem description
I am experiencing an issue with Artifact Signing identity validation after successfully completing the Verified ID process.
The previous tenant/account mismatch issue has been resolved by using a native Microsoft Entra Member account in the correct tenant with the required Artifact Signing Identity Verifier role.
For the latest Organization Public validation request:
- AU10TIX identity verification completed successfully.
- A new “Government Issued ID - GLOBAL” credential was created in Microsoft Authenticator.
- The face verification completed successfully.
- Both the Verified ID and face verification showed successful status in Microsoft Authenticator.
- I selected “Share” with Artifact Signing.
- The browser then displayed “Verification successful!”.
- If I reopen the verification link, it now says that the link has already been used.
However, the Artifact Signing validation request still remains in “Action Required” / “In progress” and continues to display “Please complete your verification here”.
Current status
The Verified ID presentation appears to have completed successfully, but the successful result does not seem to be reflected back in the Artifact Signing validation request.
What I need help with
Is there a known synchronization or callback issue between Microsoft Verified ID / credentials.microsoft.com and Artifact Signing?
Can the validation request remain in “Action Required” even after “Verification successful!” is displayed?
What is the recommended next step when the Verified ID presentation succeeds but the Artifact Signing request does not complete?
