Serious Issues with Windows After Migrating to a New PC

I am infuriated. I have been experiencing problems with Windows, ever since I tried to move from my old computer to a new one. On this new PC, I’ve had so many issues with Windows, and none of them make any sense.

I cannot shut down my computer normally—it just cuts off the connection to the display while leaving the system running every single time. The only way to turn it off is by holding down the power button. The same thing happens with Sleep and Restart, the display turns off, but the computer itself stays on.

I’ve already tried everything I can within Windows settings, but nothing fixes the issue. At this point, my only option was to contact Microsoft Support. Unfortunately, the previous option to chat directly with a human agent has been removed, and now everything is pushed onto other Windows users in this community, as if it were their responsibility.

Additionally, my Windows license has been completely deactivated on the new computer due to the migration from my old system. I can no longer activate my license, i only receive an error message every single time I try.

On top of that, Windows is not detecting my drives correctly for some reason and again, I cannot contact anyone about this. Microsoft does provide s phone number (both paid and free), but neither connects you with a real human. Both simply redirect you to an AI assistant that cannot help at the same level as an actual professional.

All of this has quickly made Microsoft the most hated company for me in the world. If I don’t get a solution to these problems, I am considering switching entirely to another operating system such as Linux.
