Dear Microsoft Azure Support Team,

I am writing to clear up a technical question regarding Tenant management and custom domain verification on your platform, following an access issue in our current infrastructure.

To provide context on the root cause, access to our primary administrator account, ******@realsum.co, is currently disabled. Because of this, we are unable to perform the standard Microsoft Entra ID procedure to verify and claim ownership of our custom domain through that account.

Due to this scenario, our organization is temporarily operating from an account registered under ******@gmail.com. Our ultimate goal is to have an Azure environment properly configured with our own domain, realsum.co, and subsequently migrate our active resources into that clean structure.

To bypass this lockout, mitigate operational risks, and prevent any loss of permissions or access on our active Gmail-associated account, we would like to validate if the following workaround is feasible and recommended:

Creating a new, independent account: Register a brand-new Azure account using an intermediary email address (a new public domain account).

Domain validation via Entra ID: From this new independent Tenant, trigger the process to claim and verify ownership of the realsum.co domain (via TXT/MX DNS record validation), thereby bypassing the disabled account lockout.

Subsequent migration: Once the new Tenant is fully operational with the realsum.co domain, safely migrate the resources from the ******@gmail.com account into this new environment.

Our intention is not to perform a direct Tenant change or prematurely alter the directory of our active Gmail account, ensuring business continuity while we resolve the root identity issue.

We would highly appreciate your guidance on whether this procedure is viable under these specific circumstances, and if there are any additional identity verification steps we should prepare for the domain take-over.

I look forward to your guidance.

You can answer in Spanish.

Thanks.

    Hola

Bienvenido a la comunidad de Microsoft Azure

Buenas noches.
