Error occurred starting the server xxxxxx-database-server. An unexpected error occured while processing the request. Tracking ID: '6fd8bdea-cd38-4ce7-aa3a-d799a06a12c7'
Ya intenté solucionar el error usando Self Heal pero el problema persiste.

2025-10-03T20:18:08.67+00:00 Thanks for the update, Jose. The “ProvisionNotSupportedForRegion” message means East US isn’t admitting new MySQL Flexible Server capacity for your subscription right now. Starting a stopped server also needs capacity in the original zone, so it can fail with the generic “unexpected error.”
What you can try now:
- Drop to the smallest compute/IOPS and try Start again. If it still fails, it’s a capacity block.
- Restore/create in a nearby region (e.g., East US 2 / Central US / South Central US) with Availability zone = No preference and a common SKU to get the server online. If your backups are GRS, use geo-restore; otherwise create a temporary server and import data.
- If you must stay in East US, open a support ticket asking for MySQL Flexible Server capacity for your subscription in that region. Include: subscription ID, region/zone, server name, SKU/storage, time of attempt, and the correlation ID you shared.
Note: the Networking blade being disabled while the server is Stopped is expected.
If the issue still persists, please feel free to share the details in the comments

2025-10-04T16:08:06.0733333+00:00 Hi, I tried to start the mysql server and got the same error. It is the generated correlation id: a56bfae3-cb5f-4716-a8ba-a4d9d0ed4c3d.
It does not have private access.
It does not have resource locks.
Service Health is Ok.
I want to clarify the networking icon on settings menu is disabled.

2025-10-16T21:14:51.1666667+00:00 Hi Jose Giovanni Martinez Cortes, Thank you for your patience. Could you please perform the following additional checks?
- Networking blade is disabled while the server is Stopped (deallocated) — that’s expected, not the cause.
- Please share the Activity Log → failed “Start” entry → statusMessage JSON (error.code + error.message). Or run:
az mysql flexible-server start -g <rg> -n <name>and paste the full error text. - If start still fails: Point-in-Time Restore to a new server in the same region with Availability zone = No preference and a smaller, common SKU to boot first; verify, then scale up and switch the connection string.
- If you use CMK, ensure the Key Vault key is enabled and the server’s managed identity has required permissions.

2025-10-17T01:55:49.8133333+00:00 Hi Swapnesh,
I tried to start the server again but got the same error, I can see the Activity log error but there's no description provided.
Then, I tried to create a new server in the same region "East US" but I got the following message:
{"code": "ProvisionNotSupportedForRegion",
"message": "Provisioning in requested region is not supported. Your subscription might not have access to create a server in the selected region. (https://aka.ms/mysqlcapacity)"
}

2025-10-21T00:17:27.72+00:00 Hi Swapnesh,
I Got this answer from this ticket "TrackingID#2510170040000426":"Unfortunately, the error you are experiencing is a technical issue that is beyond the scope of the capacity team. We can confirm that the services are enabled for the region; our best advice is to continue troubleshooting with the technical team."
I’ve been having this issue for a few weeks and I don’t have a solution yet. I’m thinking about creating a new MySQL Flexible Server in another region. Could you help me restore the data on this new server so I don’t lose any data?

2025-10-24T17:08:01.6233333+00:00 Hi Jose Giovanni Martinez Cortes,
If you continue to see the issue, please send the possible details below—this helps us for a quick workaround- Last failed Start time + Activity Log operationId and correlationId for that attempt.
- Exact error text (paste from
az mysql flexible-server start -g <rg> -n <server>or portal). - Environment snapshot: output of
•az mysql flexible-server show -g <rg> -n <server> --output json
(sku, storage, HA Mode, availabilityZone)
•az provider show -n Microsoft.DBforMySQL --query registrationState - Quick regional check: try a tiny test create in any other region and share the exact error.
- Screenshots: failed Activity Log details pane, and the Networking blade if it appears disabled.
