Hello again Alejandro! Thank you for your thoughtful follow-up. You're clearly doing everything right, and I really respect your persistence. Let's take a deeper look at this issue.
Based on my research, the Tab A9+ comes in both Wi-Fi and 5G variants and runs Android 13 or later. That means OneDrive is likely integrated at the system level through Microsoft 365 and Samsung's own services.
Even after disabling OneDrive or signing out, it may still appear in Excel due to:
- Excel using Microsoft Graph to suggest cloud storage locations.
- Samsung's native integration with OneDrive, especially for Gallery and My Files.
- The fact that Excel's mobile version doesn't offer an option to completely hide OneDrive from the save dialog.
Here are some deeper solutions that may better fit your workflow:
- Use a Work Profile or Secure Folder Samsung allows you to isolate apps in a separate space:
- Go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Secure Folder.
- Set up a Secure Folder and install Excel within it.
- Avoid installing or enabling OneDrive in this space. This creates a sandboxed version of Excel where OneDrive won't be visible.
- Restricts OneDrive's Network Access If you're comfortable using network control apps:
- Install NetGuard ( a no-root firewall app)
- Block internet access specifically for the OneDrive app. This prevents syncing, even if OneDrive is technically enabled.
- Use Excel via Samsung DeX or Web For occasional use:
- Launch Excel Online in a browser (especially when using DeX).
- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account, but choose to save files locally instead of using OneDrive. This avoids cloud prompts entirely.
I hope this helps. If you need further assistance you can reply to this message.
Thank you,
April P.
