Outlook.com account added without consent to 760+ Outlook groups - no way to stop it, no support channel available

Since June 2026, third parties have been adding my personal Outlook.com address, without my consent, to Outlook.com groups (groups.outlook.com). I have documented more than 760 such additions. On 4 October 2026, 99 new groups appeared within minutes, three times in a row, while I was removing myself from the previous ones. This can only be an automated process.

Each group has around 50 unrelated members, so my address is being disclosed to thousands of strangers. The groups send fake meeting invitations (posing as Google Drive, WhatsApp and Google Maps notifications) that get inserted into my calendar, even with "Events from email" turned off. Everything is sent through Microsoft's own infrastructure.

Outlook.com offers no setting to refuse or block being added to a group, and leaving groups one by one is useless: new additions match the removals.

I have reported this to Outlook support (case [PII removed], no reply since 8 September 2026), to the Microsoft Security Response Center (cases [PII removed] and [PII removed]) and to Microsoft Privacy (ticket [PII removed]). Microsoft Privacy referred me to Outlook support, but the "Contact us" page only offers this community. A complaint is also pending before the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

I am asking a Microsoft moderator to escalate this to a team that can (1) remove my account from all these groups, (2) block any further additions, and (3) suspend the accounts creating them. Is there any setting or escalation path I am missing?

I will answer you in English based on your previous message. As a friendly suggestion, posting in Spanish may help your question reach a wider audience and increase the chances of receiving assistance from other community members.

Hi, Pablo Xandri

Sorry you're dealing with this. Right now, Outlook.com has no setting to stop people from adding you to a group. Forum moderators can't see or change personal accounts, so we can't remove you from these groups or block the people adding you.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Use Outlook.com's built-in support instead of the "Contact us" page. Sign in at outlook.com and select Help from the top menu, then Help again. Type something like "added to groups without consent," scroll to the bottom and choose Yes under Still need help? This opens an email support request with the Outlook.com team. Include your case numbers. More info: How to get support for Outlook.com. If you use the Outlook mobile app, you can also tap ? > Contact Outlook Mobile Support.

Before you leave a group, open one of its messages and use Report > Report phishing. Leaving only removes you, but reporting sends the group and its owner to the abuse team.

Vote and comment on this feature request: Add an option to block being added to Outlook Groups without consent. It's being tracked, and more votes help the product team prioritize a fix.

Your complaint to the Spanish Data Protection Agency is also a good move. Keep it open alongside these steps.
