Un servicio de Azure que permite la conexión de redes locales a Azure mediante redes privadas virtuales de sitio a sitio.
Hi ANDRES ALEXANDER VALLADARES CHAVARRIA,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your query here!
At this time, there are no widespread known issues reported by Microsoft affecting Application Gateways or Site-to-Site (S2S) VPNs specifically in the East US region following the maintenance at 1:20 AM. The Azure Service Health status portal typically reflects any ongoing outages or disruptions, and if the services show as "connected" but are not functioning properly, this could indicate a localized or configuration-related issue.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
- Check Azure Status: Start by checking the Azure status page to see if there are ongoing issues in the East US region. Sometimes after maintenance, issues can arise that impact connectivity or service performance. The global Azure Status page often only reflects widespread, critical outages. As of now (Sept 29, 2025), this page shows a "Good" status for East US, meaning there is no widespread regional outage currently acknowledged by Microsoft.
- Link: https://azure.status.microsoft/en-us/status/ (Visit this directly for the most current global status.)
- Verify Connection Health: Use the health probe URL for your Azure Virtual Network Gateway. You can access it at:
https://<YourVirtualNetworkGatewayIP>:8081/healthprobeto check if the gateway is healthy. - For active-active gateways, check the second public IP at
https://<YourVirtualNetworkGatewayIP2>:8083/healthprobe.
- Review Configurations:
- Ensure that the IP definition in your Local Network Gateway in Azure matches the on-premises device IP correctly.
- Check any User-Defined Routes (UDRs) or Network Security Groups (NSGs) associated with the gateway subnet for misconfigurations.
- VPN Device Check:
- Verify that you're on-premises VPN device configuration matches what Azure expects. Ensure that the Azure gateway IP is correctly set on your on-premises device.
- Network Diagnostics: Utilize Azure's Network Watcher to run diagnostics on your VPN connections to look for any underlying issues.
- Reset the Gateway: If the above checks don’t resolve the issue, consider resetting your VPN gateway to restore connectivity.
Please do let me know if you have any questions on this, If the information resolved your issue, kindly consider accepting the answer — it will help others who might be facing similar challenges.
Thanks,
Harish.
