Problem description

I am unable to purchase or search for phone numbers in Azure Communication Services, as every search results in an error stating "Maximum search size exceeded. Max size: 0, request size: 1." This issue affects both US local (geographic) and toll-free number searches.

Environment

Azure Communication Services; subscription type: paid Pay-As-You-Go; billing location: United States; resource region not specified; intended use: inbound voice calling with US phone numbers; requested number types: US geographic local and US toll-free.

What I've already tried

I attempted to search for phone numbers for both US local and toll-free types; each search failed with the same error. The case notes indicate that a billing-related support request was previously opened and closed without further details. No troubleshooting steps beyond these searches are documented in the case record.

Current status

The issue persists, with all number searches returning "Maximum search size exceeded" errors. I am seeking assistance to enable phone number purchase or to raise the current search limit to acquire at least one US local and one toll-free number. Microsoft Support confirmed by email on Nov 4 that the fix is a service-side enablement of phone number acquisition for the subscription, which only Support can perform. Could a Microsoft engineer please make that change?
