Outlook on Mac not syncing

I'm using Outlook Legacy...and have checked my incoming and outgoing server settings with my ISP (Spectrum). I have an annual 365 subscription.

Hardware is iMac with M4 chip and OS 27.2

Hello Joe,

It appears Legacy Outlook on the Mac has stopped syncing with the Spectrum mailbox even though the incoming and outgoing settings are correct.

Recent similar cases were linked to a known Spectrum compatibility issue affecting Microsoft email clients rather than an incorrect setting.

Note: The screenshot above is from a thread on the Spectrum Community forum, not from Microsoft.

For now, please sign in to Spectrum Webmail and check whether new messages appear there. If Webmail works, avoid deleting or recreating the Outlook account, especially if it uses POP and contains locally stored messages.

It is recommended that you contact Spectrum again and specifically ask whether the current issue affecting Microsoft desktop email clients applies to your email domain. Since this is a user-to-user forum, we do not have access to the back-end servers and cannot confirm the current service status from here.

If you would please, a few questions to help narrow the possible culprits:

1 -- What exactly is not syncing: new incoming mail, sent mail, folders, or all mail?

2 --Does the Spectrum account work normally if you sign in to Spectrum webmail?

3 -- In Outlook, do you see any error message when you try to send/receive? If so, please post the exact error.

4 -- Did this previously work on this Mac, and if so, when did it stop working? Any other events about that same time? e.g. MacOS or Office updates.

5 -- I see that you are using Legacy Outlook for Mac, but I also need to know what version.
