A flashing or corrupted image after a Windows update is consistent with a camera driver issue. For an external USB webcam like the eMeet C980 Pro HD, use this order:

    1. Restart the PC If the update has not fully completed device changes, a full restart can resolve it.
    2. Test in the Windows Camera app Open Start > Camera.
      • If the image is also flashing there, the problem is system-wide.
      • If it works there but fails only in another app, the issue is with that app’s camera settings.
    3. Check for optional driver updates On Windows 11: Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. If available, open Advanced options > Optional updates and install any camera-related driver updates, then restart.
    4. Update the webcam driver in Device Manager Go to Start > Device Manager. Expand Cameras or Imaging devices, right-click the webcam, then select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers. Restart after the update.
    5. Roll back the camera driver Since the issue started after KB5127936, try rolling back:
      • In Device Manager, right-click the camera > Properties
      • Open the Driver tab
      • Select Roll Back Driver > Yes
      • Restart and test again
    6. Uninstall and reinstall the camera driver If rollback is unavailable or does not help:
      • In Device Manager, right-click the camera > Properties
      • Open the Driver tab
      • Select Uninstall Device
      • If prompted, select Attempt to remove the driver for this device
      • In Device Manager, select Action > Scan for hardware changes
      • Restart and test again
    7. Switch the external USB webcam to the built-in UVC driver This is specifically recommended for USB webcams that stop working correctly. Note: admin rights are required, and the in-box UVC driver may reduce camera-specific features. Steps:
      • Open Device Manager
      • Find the webcam under Cameras or Imaging devices
      • Right-click it and select Update driver
      • Select Browse my computer for drivers
      • Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
      • Select USB Video Device
      • Select Next
      • Select Close
After this change, the webcam should appear under Cameras in Device Manager.
    8. Try a different USB port For an external webcam, move it to a different USB port, then in Device Manager use Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    9. If the problem continues, check the camera manufacturer’s support If Windows driver rollback, reinstall, and the UVC driver do not fix the flashing image, the next step is vendor-specific camera support.

    Hi Marco Cosco Mazzuca,

As the camera started showing flashing colored lines after KB5127936, and the driver-related steps have already been suggested, you could test by temporarily uninstalling that update:

    • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates.
    • Select KB5127936 and uninstall it, if the option is available.
    • Restart Windows and test the webcam again.

If this resolves the issue, please submit a report through Feedback Hub (Windows + F) so the configuration and diagnostic information can be reviewed.

If KB5127936 cannot be uninstalled, or removing it makes no difference, the next step would be to contact eMeet support for compatibility guidance.
