Microsoft announced over a year ago that they were deprecating Publisher and advised everyone to convert their documents to PDF files, and if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, after October 1st, Publisher will be removed from the Office suite of apps, if Publisher has now been removed from your Office installation you will not be able to print the Publisher documents, the only way to use publisher now would be if you could find a standalone version of Publisher 2021 or a version of Office 2021 that includes Publisher 2021.

Yes, until the Publisher retirement dates.

    • Publisher can continue to be used with its current functionality until October 1, 2026.
    • If using Microsoft 365, Publisher will no longer be available on or shortly after October 1, 2026 as the removal update rolls out. Microsoft 365 subscribers will no longer be able to open, edit, or print Publisher files in Publisher after that.
    • If using a perpetual version of Publisher, the app can still be installed and used beyond October 2026, but support ends on October 13, 2026.
    • To preserve access to large numbers of existing files, Microsoft recommends converting important .pub files before then, such as to PDF or Word. For many files, a PowerShell bulk export script is available as a guide.
    • A file search for .pub on a PC, OneDrive, or SharePoint can help locate all Publisher files.

If the main goal is continued printing, saving the files to PDF is the most direct option because PDF is commonly used for sharing and printing.
