i have already used from my personal account and tied to it my billing information/profile, will microsoft flag my account if i try claiming the credits for startups on the azure portal?

it says the same issue when at the credit redirect, as mentioned in this

since it requires personal msa account i know it will grant 200$ credits for 1mo, and since it is against microsoft policy what is my way out?

i am not trying to abuse the credits, but want to take benefit of the startup credits, shall i use the same billing profile with this mail too?

Azure | Azure Startups
Azure | Azure Startups

Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.

    Hi Aman,

Yes, if you try to use the exact same credit card, phone number, and billing profile to sign up for a second standard Azure Free Account (the $200 for 1 month offer), Microsoft's automated fraud detection system will immediately flag and block the registration. The standard free trial is strictly limited to one per person/billing profile, and attempting to bypass this is against policy.

However, since you mentioned you are trying to take advantage of the Microsoft for Startups credits, you are actually looking at two completely different programs. You do not need to create a duplicate standard Free Trial account to get startup benefits.

Here is your correct way out:

Stop trying to claim the $200 personal free trial: As you rightly noted, trying to force this with the same billing profile will flag your account.

Apply through the proper channel: You need to apply directly through the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub portal (startups.microsoft.com).

Wait for Approval: If your startup application is approved, Microsoft will grant you an "Azure Sponsorship" offer. (Startup sponsorship credits are much higher than $200 and last longer than 1 month).

Redeem the Sponsorship: Once you are officially in the Founders Hub program, they will provide a specific link to activate your sponsorship credits. Because this is a validated and authorized sponsorship tied to your approved startup profile, using your real billing details to set up the corresponding subscription will not get you flagged for abuse.

In short: Do not try to game the automated $200 free trial system. Apply for the actual Startups Founders Hub program, and once approved, the billing system will accept your details under the Sponsorship offer without any issues.
