WebGL 2 support cannot be turned on through a normal Windows or browser setting if the graphics hardware or driver does not support it.

Try these checks:

1. In Microsoft Edge, make sure hardware acceleration is enabled. Open edge://settings/system and check the hardware acceleration setting.
2. If testing in Chrome, open chrome://settings/system and check that hardware acceleration is enabled there too.
3. Check whether the browser supports WebGL 2 by using the WebGL 2 test site mentioned in the Microsoft support guidance.
4. Update the graphics driver from the GPU or PC manufacturer, then restart Windows and test again.
5. If Chrome is blocking the GPU driver, chrome://flags/#ignore-gpu-blocklist can be enabled as a test. Warning: this can cause Chrome to crash or behave strangely, so disable it again if problems start.

Important limitation:

• If WebGL 2 still does not work after updating the graphics driver, the graphics hardware likely does not support WebGL 2. In that case, it cannot be enabled by software alone, and a newer device or a site fallback is required.
• For browser compatibility, the best experience is in the new Microsoft Edge, Chrome, or Firefox with WebGL 2 support. Internet Explorer 11 is not supported.
