    Hello Gary K. Lea,

When you mention “Live 365,” are you trying to add your Yahoo account to the Outlook app on your Mac, or to Outlook in a web browser?

If you are using Outlook for Mac, please let us know what happens after you enter the Yahoo address. For example, does the Yahoo sign-in page fail to open, are your credentials rejected, or do you receive a specific error message?

Please share the exact error wording or a screenshot with any personal information hidden. That detail will help determine whether the issue is occurring in Outlook or during Yahoo’s sign-in and authorization process.

You can also compare the process with Microsoft’s official guide: Add an email account to Outlook for Mac. Thank you so much for your understanding.

For Outlook on Mac, add the Yahoo account directly in Outlook:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Select Outlook > Settings.
    3. Select Accounts.
    4. Select + Add Account.
    5. Enter the Yahoo email address and select Continue.
    6. Follow the prompts to sign in.
    7. If prompted by Yahoo to allow access to mail, contacts, and calendars, select Allow.
    8. Select Done.

If Outlook is already set up with another account, use:

    1. Tools > Accounts.
    2. Select + Add Account.
    3. Enter the Yahoo email address.
    4. Follow the prompts to complete setup.

Yahoo accounts may require sign-in approval during setup. In Outlook for Mac, Yahoo can prompt for permission to let Outlook access mail, contacts, and calendars.
