Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Dear Rocco Mazzei,
Since the Offline - Out of Office status has remained for such a long time, please try the following steps to reset the Out of Office and presence information.
Step 1: Check and turn off Automatic Replies
- Open Outlook.
- Select File > Automatic Replies.
- Make sure Do not send automatic replies is selected.
- Close the Automatic Replies window.
Step 2: Check your Outlook calendar for an Out of Office event
- Open Calendar in Outlook.
- Check your current appointments as well as any recurring appointments.
- Open any appointment that may have been configured as Out of Office.
- Check the Show As setting.
- If it is incorrectly set to Out of Office, change it to Free or Busy, as appropriate, and save the appointment.
Step 3: Restart the Teams and Outlook presence connection
- Completely close Outlook and ensure that all Outlook windows are closed.
- Completely quit Microsoft Teams rather than only closing the Teams window.
- Reopen Microsoft Teams first.
- After Teams has opened, reopen Outlook and check your status again.
If the status remains unchanged after completing these steps, please let me know. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
