Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum!
I can see how helpful it can be to receive notifications for followed articles, it’s reasonable to expect a notification when someone replies to your comment.
MSN currently does not offer a way to be notified when someone replies to your specific comment.
Although MSN / Microsoft Start allows commenting when signed in, there is no option to follow a comment thread or enable notifications for replies. Some users previously received reply or reaction notifications via Microsoft Edge or the Microsoft Start app, but these are inconsistent, platform‑dependent, and not configurable, and many users report they no longer appear at all.
There are also:
- No email notifications
- No notification inbox for comment replies
- No per‑comment or per‑article subscription setting
The only reliable option is to manually revisit the article and check whether someone replied to your comment.
How to give feedback to Microsoft:
- Go to https://www.msn.com or Microsoft Start while signed in
- Open the menu (three dots) and select Feedback
- Choose Comments or Microsoft Start as the category
- Describe the issue and request reply notifications for comment threads
- Submit the feedback
I know this wasn't the answer you expected, but raising feedback is currently the only way to push for this to be improved.
If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know!
Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
