Hello, I'm Quinn and here to help!

To better understand why activation isn’t working, may I clarify a few things first:

    • What exact error message or error code appears when you try to activate?
    • Are you signing in with the same Microsoft account that was used to redeem the key?
    • Has the key already been redeemed on another Microsoft account? (Keys are permanently tied to the first account they’re used with.)
    • Where was the product key purchased from? (Microsoft Store, bundled with a PC, authorized reseller, or third-party site.)

If you are unable to activate Microsoft 365 with your product key, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Your Product Key: Ensure that the product key you are using is valid and corresponds to the version of Microsoft 365 you are trying to activate.
    2. Redeem Your Product Key: If you have a product key, you can redeem it by going to the Microsoft 365 setup page and following the instructions to enter your key.
    3. Ensure Correct Version: Make sure that you have the correct version of Office installed that matches your product key. If you have a different edition installed, you may need to uninstall it and install the correct version.
    4. Run the Microsoft 365 Activation Troubleshooter: This tool can help resolve activation issues. Ensure you are using the same device where Microsoft 365 is installed and that it is running Windows 10 or later.
    5. Check for License Assignment: If your Microsoft 365 license is provided by your organization, ensure that it is properly assigned to your account. You may need to contact your Microsoft 365 administrator for assistance.
    6. Remove Office Credentials: Sometimes, removing stored credentials can help. Go to Credential Manager, find any credentials related to Microsoft Office, and remove them.
    7. Restart Your Device: After making changes, restart your device and try activating Microsoft 365 again.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider checking the Microsoft support site for further troubleshooting steps or contacting support for assistance.

It is such a dumb way to activate the product key! One has to insert an ridiculously long number from one page to another page, then again, insert another ridiculously long number to the other one! What is this??? UNACCEPTABLE!!
