    Welcome krx-4812,

Thanks for the details. I understand how tiring it is to solve a puzzle and wait for a code every time you just want to check your email quickly.

Turning off two-step verification only removes the required second step on every sign-in. Your account can still ask for a security check (the "verify you're human" puzzle and a code) if something about the sign-in looks unusual or if the browser isn't remembering you.

    A few quick questions first:

    • When you sign in, do you check the "Stay signed in?" box and select "Yes"?
    • Do you use a VPN, proxy, or privacy or ad-blocking browser extension? Is your browser set to clear cookies when you close it?
    • Which browser are you using (Edge, Chrome, Firefox…)?

    Please try the step below:

    • Check recent activity: Go to https://account.live.com/Activity and look for sign-ins you don't recognize. If you find any, select Secure your account and change your password.
    • Stay signed in: Select Yes on the Stay signed in? screen. Also make sure your browser isn't set to delete cookies when it closes.
    • Turn off VPN, proxy and extensions: These can make a sign-in look unusual. Turn them off, then sign in at https://outlook.live.com.
    • Add a quicker way to verify: At https://account.microsoft.com/security, select Manage how I sign in > Add a new way to sign in or verify. Then add the Microsoft Authenticator app or a passkey, so any future check only takes a tap.

    Looking forward to your update.
