Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hello Ke, Caihua,
Copilot does not normally need to be installed separately in Outlook. Its availability depends on the Microsoft account or work/school account signed in to Outlook, the associated Microsoft 365 subscription or Copilot license, and the Outlook version being used.
Please first confirm:
- Are you using classic Outlook, new Outlook, Outlook for Mac, or Outlook on the web?
- Is the signed-in account a personal account or a work/school account?
- Does that account have an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription or Copilot license?
In the meantime, update Outlook and try signing in to Outlook on the web with the same account. If Copilot appears there but not in the desktop application, the issue is more likely related to the Outlook version, privacy settings, or local profile.
You can also review Microsoft’s guidance for missing Copilot buttons in classic Outlook. Thank you so much for your understanding.
