I created a quiz in Forms, but when I try to create a quiz assignment in Teams, the form doesn't show up. What do I need to do in Forms so that it appears in Teams

    Hello Cole Ryan
If your quiz was created in Microsoft Forms but does not appear when you try to add it under Teams > Assignments > Create > Quiz, you can try duplicating the quiz using the following steps:

-Open your existing quiz in Microsoft Forms.

    -Select Share.

-Under Share as a template, select Get a link to duplicate.

    -Copy the generated link.

-Open the link yourself in a new browser tab (or an InPrivate/Incognito window).

    -Select Duplicate it.

-A copy of the quiz (with a name such as Quiz Name (Copy)) should be created under My Forms.

-Return to Microsoft Teams and navigate to Assignments > Create > Quiz.

-Check whether the copied quiz now appears in the quiz list.

This workaround has been shared by other users in this discussion. Users reported that duplicating the quiz made it available in Teams without having to recreate the questions manually.

I hope this works for you as well!

To use an existing Microsoft Forms quiz in a Teams assignment, the quiz must be available from the class context that Teams can access.

A reliable way to make it appear is to create or assign it from Teams > Assignments:

    1. Open the class team in Microsoft Teams for Education.
    2. Go to Assignments.
    3. Select Create > Quiz.
    4. Choose the existing quiz if it appears, or create it there.

When a quiz is assigned from Assignments > Create > New Quiz, Teams saves a copy of that form under Group forms for that class in Microsoft Forms. That group-saved quiz counts toward the group form limit instead of the personal form limit.

If the goal is to distribute an existing Forms item and it still does not appear as a quiz option in Teams, use the form link instead:

    1. In Microsoft Forms, open the form or survey.
    2. Select Collect responses and copy the link.
    3. In Teams, open the class team and go to Assignments.
    4. Select Create > New Assignment.
    5. Select Attach > Link.
    6. Paste the Forms link, add display text, and select Attach.
    7. Complete the assignment details and select Assign.

Also check the response setting in Forms before sharing:

    • Only people in my organization can respond for school or district privacy.
    • Anyone with the link can respond if the form must be available more broadly.
