The HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e should be installed as a Wi‑Fi/network printer rather than a Bluetooth printer, because its Bluetooth Low Energy function is intended for setup and discovery, not normal Windows printing.^1^
Reconnect the printer correctly
- On the printer’s control panel, connect the printer to your home Wi‑Fi network.
- Ensure the desktop is connected to that same Wi‑Fi network. Separate guest and primary networks might not communicate.
- In Windows 11, open:
Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- For Windows 10: Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select the existing HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e, select Remove, and confirm.
- Return to Printers & scanners, select Add device, and add the network-discovered HP printer. Microsoft requires a wireless printer and the Windows PC to be on the same network.^2^
- If Windows does not find it, use HP’s model-specific setup page to install the HP software and complete the network setup.^3^
- Open Printers & scanners, select the newly installed printer, and print a test page. Also select this exact printer—not “Microsoft Print to PDF”—in the application’s Print window.
The previous email-sending restriction is a separate account service issue; removing that restriction does not install or reconnect the Windows printer.
If the test job still never appears
Restart the Windows service that receives print jobs:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter
services.mscand press Enter. - Find Print Spooler.
- Right-click it and select Restart.
- Double-click it and ensure Startup type is Automatic.
- Print the test page again.
Microsoft identifies Print Spooler as the service that manages Windows print jobs.^4^
If the spooler will not run or printing still fails, reinstall or update the printer driver through Windows Update first. Microsoft recommends Windows Update for current printer drivers; the HP manufacturer package is the next option if Windows Update cannot provide one.^5^
Only if jobs become stuck in the queue
This deletes pending print jobs, not documents stored on the PC:
- Open
services.mscand Stop the Print Spooler. - Open File Explorer and enter:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS - Delete the files inside that folder.
- Return to Services and Start the Print Spooler.
- Restart the computer and printer, then retest.^4^
If Windows reports that security settings or administrator permission prevent removing, adding, or restarting the printer service, record the exact error message. “Nothing appears in the queue” alone does not identify which security control is blocking printing.
