Welcome COLLEEN OLSON,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that your desktop can't send print jobs to your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e. The printer shows as active under Devices, but nothing ever appears in the print queue, and you think the security settings on the computer may be blocking it.
Please make sure you already tried the Q&A Assist steps. In addition, please try the following.
To narrow this down, could you share:
- In Printers & scanners, does the HP printer show as Ready, Offline or Driver is unavailable?
- Can the printer print from another device, such as a phone using the HP Smart app on the same Wi-Fi network?
In the meantime, you can try these steps:
1, Run the built-in printer troubleshooter.
- Go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Select Run next to Printer, and follow the prompts.
2, Remove the printer's Bluetooth pairing so that Windows uses only the network connection.
- Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
- If the HP printer is listed as a Bluetooth device, select the three dots next to it, then select Remove device.
3, Set your home network as a private network so that Windows allows the printer to communicate with the PC.
- Go to Start > Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi, then select your network's properties.
- Under Network profile type, select Private network.
Looking forward to your update.
