Welcome Robert Steffen,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that when you try to connect with Kamo VPN on Windows 11 to Columbus, Indianapolis or Chicago, you get the error "the remote connection was not made because the name of the remote access server did not resolve," even after reinstalling Kamo several times.
Could you please confirm:
- Do you start the connection with the Connect button inside the Kamo app, or by adding a VPN connection in Windows Settings under Network & internet, then VPN?
- If you added it in Windows Settings, what did you enter in the Server name or address field, and which VPN type did you choose?
Please make sure you already tried the Q&A Assist steps. In addition, please try the following:
1, Remove any VPN profiles you added manually in Windows.
- Go to Settings, then Network & internet, then VPN.
- Select each Kamo or city entry you created, such as Columbus, Indianapolis or Chicago, and select Remove.
- Open the Kamo app and connect only from inside the app. The Windows built-in VPN setup needs an exact server address from the provider, and a city name alone will not resolve.
2, Make sure the Windows VPN services are running.
- Press Windows + R, type
services.mscand press Enter. - Find Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service.
- For each one, set Startup type to Manual or Automatic and select Start if it isn't running.
3, Turn off any manual proxy.
- Go to Settings, then Network & internet, then Proxy.
- Under Manual proxy setup, select Set up and turn off Use a proxy server.
- Try Kamo again.
4, Check the network adapters in Device Manager.
- Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters and look for a yellow warning icon on any WAN Miniport or Kamo/TAP adapter.
- If one has a warning, right-click it, select Update driver, then restart the PC.
Looking forward to your update.
