I have been charged for a Microsoft 365 subscription, the only subscription I am aware of having is through my university email address which should provide me with free access, but I have been charged for it and need to request a refund.

The exact name of the charge on my bank statement is MICROSOFT*MICROSOFT 365 P.

I do not know for definite if this charge is for my university account, but when I try to log into Microsoft with my personal email address to see if I have any active subscriptions it says I do not have any, so as far as I am aware my only Microsoft subscription is my student account, which I should have for free provided from my university.

    Hi Aoife,

To help determine which subscription may have been billed, could you please provide a few additional details?

    1. What is the exact name of the subscription shown on the invoice, receipt, or bank statement?
    2. Did you receive the charge on a personal Microsoft account, or is it associated with your university account?
    3. Do you have a copy of the invoice or order confirmation that shows the charged product and order number?

With this information, you can better understand whether the charge is related to a personal subscription, a university-provided license, or another Microsoft service, and provide guidance on the available refund options.

Additionally, to determine which subscription was billed and whether you are eligible for a refund, please sign in to the Microsoft account associated with the charge and review your subscriptions at Services. This will show any active Microsoft subscriptions linked to your account.

To ensure I provide the most accurate assistance, I would appreciate any additional information you can share regarding your current situation. If possible, please include screenshots, as they can be very helpful in the investigation.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to comment in this post.

I look forward to your response.
