    Hi,

Is the cover page brand-specific to your Printer? If so,

    • Please go to Settings and go to Devices & Printers (or Printers & Scanners).
    • Right-click your printer and select Printer Properties (not just "Properties").
    • Look for an Advanced tab.
    • Check for a button or option labeled Separator Page... or Banner Page and set it to None or disabled.

    Additioanally, clear the Print spooler:

    • Press the Windows Key, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click it, and choose Stop.
    • Open File Explorer and go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files inside that folder.
    • Go back to the Services window, right-click Print Spooler, and choose Start

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

If the extra “cover page” lists the file name, author, dates, or other document details, turn off Print document properties in Word.

    For Microsoft Word

    1. Open Word.
    2. Select File → Options.
    3. Select Display.
    4. Under Printing options, clear Print document properties.
    5. Select OK, then print again.

That option prints Word’s summary information on a separate page after the document. ^1^

If it happens from every application

Print a short page from Notepad:

    • No extra page: The page is being added by the original application. Check that application’s print settings.
    • Extra page still appears: It is likely a printer or print-queue separator page rather than a Word setting. Separator pages can include the print date, job number, username, or custom text. ^2^

The location for disabling a printer-generated page depends on the installed printer driver and may not appear in every Windows 10 queue. Open:

Start → Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners → select the printer → Manage → Printing preferences

Look for a setting named Banner Page, Job Sheet, Separator Page, or similar and turn it off. If none appears, use the printer manufacturer’s instructions for that exact model. For a shared workplace printer, the setting may need to be changed by whoever manages its print queue.
