Microsoft for Startups: Azure credit activation rejected, no subscription or support access

Hello Microsoft for Startups Support Team,

I am the founder of Capitiz, a Peru-based PropTech SaaS startup developing an AI-powered real estate commercial platform.

On November 5, 2026, I created a new personal Microsoft account to join Microsoft for Startups and activate the initial $200 Azure credit offer.

I completed the LinkedIn verification and proceeded through the Azure registration process, including entering my payment card information.

However, the registration was rejected with the following message:

"You're not eligible for an Azure free account."

Important details:

  • The newly created Microsoft account has never previously had an Azure subscription or received Azure promotional credits.

The Azure portal currently shows zero subscriptions.

I also administer an existing Azure subscription under a different Microsoft account, which hosts our development environment.

Both accounts use the same payment card.

I understand that using the same card could be relevant to eligibility checks, but I have not received confirmation that this caused the rejection.

The Microsoft for Startups Program Support option is unavailable.

The official startup support link redirects to the Azure homepage.

Azure's general support portal does not provide an accessible way to request an eligibility review without an active subscription.

My questions are:

Does using a payment card already associated with another Azure subscription automatically disqualify a new startup from Microsoft for Startups?

Is there a way to request a manual review of the startup's eligibility and failed Azure credit activation?

How can I contact the appropriate Microsoft for Startups team when no subscription has been created and Program Support is unavailable?

I am not attempting to obtain a duplicate Azure Free Trial or circumvent Microsoft's eligibility requirements.

I would appreciate assistance with a legitimate eligibility review or a secure support channel where I can provide the registration details and supporting evidence privately.

Thank you.Hello Microsoft for Startups Support Team,

    Update — November 5, 2026

The suggested solution does not resolve my issue.

I have already attempted both official support paths:

Microsoft for Startups support redirects me to the Azure homepage without providing a support form.

Azure Help + Support only offers troubleshooting and paid technical support options. No ticket can be submitted because my account has zero subscriptions.

I joined Microsoft for Startups after May 29, 2026, so the current Azure Portal experience applies.

Could a Microsoft staff member or moderator please help identify a secure pre-activation support channel for a manual eligibility review?

I am not requesting another Azure Free Trial or an exception to the eligibility rules.
