A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Because the message says “It’s our fault—wait a bit and try again,” wait before retrying the payment from your Microsoft 365 subscription page; if it fails again, take the existing case numbers directly to Microsoft Home billing support.
Retry from the subscription itself
- Wait a while rather than repeatedly submitting the debit card.
- Open Services & subscriptions: https://account.microsoft.com/services
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Microsoft 365 Personal or Family.
- Find Microsoft 365 and select:
- Pay now if the subscription is past due, or
- Manage → Change how you pay → Add a new way to pay for recurring billing.
- Submit the debit card again. Microsoft documents these payment paths for recurring and past-due subscriptions.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Change your Microsoft subscription payment method and options")[^2^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Pay for a past-due Microsoft subscription | Microsoft Support")
If Change how you pay is missing, recurring billing may be off. If the subscription is past due, use Pay now instead.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Change your Microsoft subscription payment method and options")
If the debit card is rejected again
Contact the bank and ask whether it blocked:
- The Microsoft transaction as suspected fraud
- Online or recurring subscription payments
- Any identity-verification step required for the payment
Microsoft specifically advises checking with the bank when an error occurs while adding a payment method.^3^
If the bank confirms that the transaction is allowed, use another supported payment method temporarily, if available. For a past-due subscription, gift cards, subscription cards, and Microsoft account balance cannot be used.[^2^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Pay for a past-due Microsoft subscription | Microsoft Support")
Escalate the existing cases
This community cannot access your account, payment attempts, or existing case records. Go to Microsoft Support while signed in with the account that owns the subscription:
- Select Microsoft 365.
- Choose Get Home support.
- Enter billing/payment error.
- Select Contact Support, then choose live chat or another offered contact method.^4^
- Provide all three case numbers, including 7111183131, and the exact message.
- Ask the agent to:
- Start from the existing cases if possible
- Check whether the three cases can be linked or reviewed together
- Escalate the issue to an account or billing specialist if needed
- Determine whether Microsoft’s payment processor or the bank is rejecting the transaction
Do not post the full debit-card number, security code, or other payment details in this public forum.
