    Welcome Melissa Michielsen,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Q&A Forum. I'm sorry your PC keeps crashing. I'll help you find the cause.

Windows 10 has been end of service (EOS) since October 2025, but you can still try these steps.

To narrow it down, could you tell us:

    • What does the crash look like? A blue screen with a stop code (for example "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED"), a freeze, a sudden restart, or one app closing?
    • When does it happen? At startup, during a certain app or game, or at random?
    • How much free space is left on drive C:? Go to Settings > System > Storage to see it.
    • Did anything change before the crashes started, such as an update, a new driver, new software or new hardware?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

Step 1: Check and free up storage Low space on drive C: can make Windows unstable. Try to keep at least 10–15% of the drive free.

    • Open Settings > System > Storage and see how much space is used
    • Click Temporary files, select the items you no longer need, then click Remove files
    • Turn on Storage Sense so Windows cleans up temporary files automatically

Step 2: Check Reliability Monitor for the cause

    • Click Start, type View reliability history and open it.
    • Look for red icons on the days the PC crashed.
    • Click one to see the details. Please share the "Problem event name", "Faulting application" or stop code here.

    Step 3: Repair system files

    • Click Start, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator
    • Run this command and wait for it to finish: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    • Then run sfc /scannow
    • Restart the PC.

    Looking forward to your update.
