I got an email from CDOC regarding my microsoft account case saying that they will place a temporary suspension to prevent further unauthorized activity, but I am still able to log in and do things so I am not sure if it’s truly suspended. I was sent this 4 hours ago.

Hello,

If your account's security information has been changed by someone else and you can no longer access the Security basics page, your account may have been compromised.

First, please refer to the following Microsoft Support article, which explains how to complete the Microsoft account recovery form, to check the appropriate recovery options:

If two-step verification is enabled and you cannot access any of your registered verification methods, you may not be able to recover your account using the recovery form.

Please do not share any passwords, verification codes, or personally identifiable information in this thread.

If the account is still accessible, it is not currently suspended in a way that blocks sign-in.

For Microsoft account security alerts, the reliable way to verify the status is to check the account directly instead of trusting the email alone:

Go to the Security basics page.
Select Review activity and inspect the Recent activity page for unusual sign-in attempts.
If an activity is not recognized, select This wasn't me for items in Unusual activity, or Secure your account for items in Recent activity.
If there is any chance someone accessed the account, return to Security basics and select Change password.

A legitimate unusual sign-in email from Microsoft is from ******@accountprotection.microsoft.com. If the message came from a different sender, treat it as suspicious.

Microsoft can temporarily block sign-in when unusual activity is detected, but when that happens the sign-in flow normally instructs where to receive a security code to unlock the account. Since normal access is still working, the email alone does not confirm that a suspension is active.
