Artifact Signing (Trusted Signing) org identity validation stuck "In Progress" for 12+ days

Our organization identity validation for Artifact Signing (Trusted Signing) has

been "In Progress" for 12+ days, well past the expected few-business-day window.

The verification email was completed on 2026-10-23 (the link now reports "this

link has been used already"), so nothing is outstanding on our side, and we have

NOT filed any duplicate requests. Could someone from the Trusted Signing team

check the status and advise on next steps or expedite it?

Keep the existing identity-validation request and escalate it for request-specific review through Azure Support or the Artifact Signing tag on Microsoft Q&A; Microsoft states that duplicate requests do not help and identity validations cannot be expedited.^1^

As of November 4, 2026, eight full business days have elapsed since the email verification on Friday, October 23, excluding weekends. Microsoft publishes a 1–20-business-day review range for identity-validation renewals, potentially longer when documents are required, but does not specify that range as an SLA for initial organization validation.^2^

    Next steps

    1. Do not create or delete another request.
The current request remains In Progress, and Microsoft specifically says that creating additional requests for the same entity does not help.^1^ Official deletion guidance also says an identity validation in the In Progress state cannot be deleted.^2^
    2. Open the validation record itself in the Azure portal:
Artifact Signing account → Objects → Identity validations → select the request.
Since the email link was successfully consumed, do not repeat email verification. Check only whether the detailed record has changed to:
      • Action Required: follow the displayed request for additional information.
      • Completed: validation succeeded.
      • Failed: review the failure notification.
      • In Progress: no portal action is currently exposed.
After individual verification succeeds, the documented workflow returns to In Progress while review continues. If more documents are needed, it changes to Action Required and Microsoft sends an email.^3^
    3. Request a case-specific status review.
      • Create an Azure support request from the Azure portal if the subscription’s support entitlement permits it.
      • If technical ticket creation is unavailable, continue with Microsoft Q&A using the artifact-signing tag and ask a moderator to arrange private collection of the validation details. Both are documented support routes.^1^
Similar cases that remained In Progress for 10 days or roughly two weeks were completed after the validation team reviewed the supplied details.^4^^5^

Include these non-secret details in the escalation:

    • Organization name and validation type
    • Azure region
    • Identity Validation ID
    • Date email verification completed
    • Current detailed status
    • Whether Action Required appears
    • Confirmation that no duplicate request was submitted

Provide subscription IDs, tenant IDs, and other account-specific identifiers only through the support case or a private moderator exchange. Remove those identifiers from the public question; public Q&A participants cannot inspect the private validation backend.

An expedite cannot be promised: Microsoft explicitly states that identity-validation requests cannot be expedited.^1^
