Reinstall Microsoft Solitaire Collection from your Windows 10 Microsoft Store library, then sign in to the Store and Solitaire with the same Microsoft account to restore associated purchases or subscriptions.
Reinstall Microsoft Solitaire
- Select Start → Settings → Apps → Apps & features.
- Select Microsoft Solitaire Collection.
- Select Uninstall → Uninstall, and then restart the PC.
- Open Microsoft Store.
- Select More (…) → My Library.
- Find Microsoft Solitaire Collection, and select Install or the Download icon. Microsoft documents this as the Windows 10 procedure for reinstalling Store apps.^1^
- When installation completes, select Play or open it from the Start menu.
Solitaire normally does not require a separate product-key activation. Sign in to Microsoft Store with the Microsoft account previously used for Solitaire:
- Open Microsoft Store and select the profile icon.
- Verify that the intended Microsoft account is signed in.
- Open Microsoft Solitaire Collection and sign in with that same account.
Microsoft Store apps require the PC and app to be authorized through a Microsoft-account sign-in.^2^
If Solitaire installs but does not display or open
Try these options in order:
- Open Start → Settings → Apps → Apps & features.
- Select Microsoft Solitaire Collection → Advanced options.
- Select Repair, and then launch the game.
- If it still fails, return to the same page and select Reset. Resetting can remove locally stored app data, although account-synchronized information may return after sign-in. Microsoft lists Repair first and Reset when Repair is unavailable or unsuccessful.^3^
If Microsoft Store itself does not work correctly:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter
wsreset.exe, and select OK. - A blank window should appear temporarily; Microsoft Store should then open automatically.
- Search for Microsoft Solitaire Collection and install it again.^2^
Also run the Windows 10 Store troubleshooter:
- Open Start → Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot.
- Select Windows Store Apps → Run the troubleshooter.^1^
If Solitaire is absent from My Library or has no Install button, check that the Store uses the correct Microsoft account. Store availability can also be affected by device compatibility, country or region, Family settings, or whether the PC was restarted after Windows updates.^2^
Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025. The PC will continue to work, but Microsoft no longer provides free security fixes, software updates, or technical assistance for Windows 10; moving to Windows 11 is recommended when the device supports it.^3^
