Did you successfully associate your key with your Microsoft account? Go to https://setup.office.com (if you haven't already done this step). You will be prompted to sign in and then enter the key. You can't enter the key more than once. Once the product has been added to your account, install via https://account.microsoft.com/services .

    Hi Jan Westerbeek,

I understand how confusing it can be to have a valid product key but not know where to download the software.

Once the key has been redeemed, the Office 2024 license is linked to the Microsoft account used during redemption. Sign in to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps with that same account and select Install apps.

If Office 2024 does not appear, check whether you may have redeemed it using another Microsoft account. If the key came from a company or school, please contact the organization’s administrator, as a different installation method may apply.

For security, please do not share your product key publicly. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Redeem your Office 2024 product key with a Microsoft account, then download Office while signed in with that same account.

    1. Redeem the product key

If this is the first time you are using the 25-character code:

    1. Go to https://www.office.com/setup.
    2. Sign in with your Microsoft account, or create one.
    3. Enter the product key without hyphens.
    4. Follow the prompts to associate Office 2024 with that account. Remember which account you use—you will need it for installation and future reinstalls. ^1^

If the site says “This product key has already been used,” do not enter it again. The key has already been redeemed; sign in using the Microsoft account that was used when it was first redeemed.

    2. Download and install Office 2024

    1. Go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps.
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your Office 2024 purchase.
    3. Select Install apps, and then select Install.
    4. Complete the installation for your device: ^2^
      • Windows: Run the downloaded setup file, approve the User Account Control prompt, and wait for “You’re all set! Office is installed now.”
      • Mac: Open Finder → Downloads, double-click Microsoft Office installer.pkg, and proceed through the installer.
    5. Open Word or Excel and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate Office.

If Office 2024 is not listed

Check the Microsoft account’s Services & subscriptions page:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

If Office 2024 does not appear under your purchased products, you may have signed in with a different Microsoft account. If the key has not been redeemed and is rejected as invalid, contact the seller; Microsoft advises requesting a refund when a separately purchased key does not work or has been blocked. ^1^
