Hi,

Our organization's access to Azure Artifact Signing was suspended, and we're trying to find out why and what we need to do to have it reviewed.

What happened:

  • Signing worked normally until November 1, 2026. Since then every signing request fails with 403 Forbidden after a successful Azure login.
  • In the Azure portal, our organization's identity validation (Public Trust) now shows "Suspended", and the Renew option is disabled.
  • On November 3 and 4 we received the automated email "Alert: Access to Artifact Signing has been suspended". It says the action "may be due to administrative, compliance, or policy-related reasons" and points to the FAQ, but gives no reason and no contact.

The FAQ says Microsoft engages directly with the customer when an account is suspended, but apart from that automated email we haven't been contacted.

Our questions:

  1. How can we find out the specific reason for the suspension?
  2. What information or documents do you need from us for a review?
  3. Have our signing certificates been revoked, or will they be, and from what date?

We don't have an Azure support plan, so we can't open a technical support ticket. We can share our tenant ID, subscription ID and identity validation ID privately.

Thank you.
