An Azure platform as a service offer that is used to deploy web and cloud applications.
Verify that your Azure profile and payment details match your bank records exactly and that none of the same identity or payment information is already associated with another Microsoft/Azure account.
Resolve the eligibility check
- Review the Microsoft account profile
- Sign in to the Microsoft account center.
- Select Your info.
- Ensure your full name, country/region, street address, email address, and telephone number are complete and accurate.
- Match the card’s billing information
- Enter the billing address exactly as held by the card issuer.
- The billing address must be in the country/region selected in the Azure sign-up form.
- Confirm the card number and other card details are correct.
- Virtual and prepaid cards are not accepted for Azure subscriptions.
- Check for previously associated information
- The free trial is limited to users who are new to Azure. A previous Azure subscription makes the user ineligible, even if it was not a free trial.
- Check whether another Microsoft account might already use the same personal, telephone, address, or payment information. Trying a different email alone does not establish new eligibility.
These are Microsoft’s documented checks for the “You are not eligible for an Azure subscription” message.^1^
If the information is correct but rejection continues
The eligibility decision cannot be overridden from Microsoft Q&A. Contact Azure billing and subscription support so the sign-up can be reviewed; the matching accepted Q&A resolution recommends escalation when the documented checks do not resolve the rejection.^2^
When submitting the request, include:
- The exact error text
- The stage at which it appears: profile, phone verification, or card verification
- Your country/region
- A screenshot with all card numbers and personal data concealed
- Confirmation that this is your first known Azure subscription attempt
Do not post card details, telephone numbers, or other identifying information publicly.
If support confirms that the free-account offer is unavailable, the documented alternative is a pay-as-you-go Azure account. It has no upfront commitment, but usage beyond included free quantities is billed.^3^
