I am experiencing a serious problem with Microsoft Excel for Mac.
Details:
• Excel version: 16.114.3
• macOS: Sequoia 15.7.9
• Subscription: Microsoft 365
Problem:
Whenever I attempt to refresh a PivotTable, Excel crashes and closes unexpectedly.
This happens across multiple Excel workbooks, so it does not appear to be file-specific.
I suspect this may be a bug introduced in Excel version 16.114.3.
Could you please:
1. Confirm whether this is a known issue.
2. Advise whether Microsoft is working on a fix.
3. Provide a safe workaround or instructions to revert to a stable version.
This issue is affecting my ability to work with Excel.

Hello,
I've noticed several other users reporting the same issue in this forum over the past 24–48 hours. However, I haven't seen any official acknowledgment from Microsoft yet, so this appears to be an emerging issue rather than an isolated case.
Based on user reports, switching to the Beta channel (version 16.116, build 26102843) appears to resolve the issue. However, please note that this is an unofficial workaround, not a confirmed fix from Microsoft. Beta builds may also introduce other issues.
Since this is a community support forum primarily intended for troubleshooting from independent users, not from official support, no one here can speak on behalf of Microsoft's Excel product team or confirm when a fix will be released.
I strongly encourage you to report this issue directly through Excel's Help > Feedback feature.
I want to explain why this is important.
Community forum discussions help users troubleshoot problems and identify possible trends, but discussions here do not necessarily reach the engineers responsible for developing and maintaining the products.
Feedback submitted directly through the application can provide Microsoft's product team with valuable information, including your Excel version, macOS version, diagnostic information (where available), and the specific actions that trigger the crash.
When multiple users independently report the same issue, it helps Microsoft identify patterns, understand how widespread the problem is, reproduce it internally, and determine its priority for investigation and resolution.
Even if other users have already reported the same bug, your feedback still matters. Each additional report provides more evidence that this is a broader issue rather than an isolated problem with one user's computer or workbook.
Hopefully, with enough reports reaching the product team, Microsoft can investigate and address this issue promptly.
