    Hi!

This error indicates a blockage during the authentication process. To help you better, please answer the questions below so I can gather more information:

On which operating system do you have To Do installed (Windows or Mac)?

Is your account a work/school account or a personal one?

Do other Microsoft apps on the same PC (such as Outlook, OneNote, Teams, or the Store) sign in successfully using this account? Please test this by trying to sign in to another Microsoft application that requires a login.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.

It is a personal account on Mac. Yes, I can sign in to Teams.

Thanks! It is likely that Keychain Access is the root cause.

    1. First, you need to uninstall the To Do app (which you will reinstall later). Close the application, right-click on it, and move it to the Trash to uninstall it.
    2. Next, open your Mac’s applications menu > Search for "Keychain Access" > Keychain > Search for "To Do" and delete any entries found. If none appear, look for entries labeled "Microsoft" or associated with your personal account.

⚠️ This may sign you out of Teams. You can simply sign back in afterward.

    1. Delete the app's local data, as described in the topic below:
    • See "Sync failed due to an issue with local storage on the app"

    1. Restart your Mac.
    2. Install To Do from the Apple Store and sign in again.
