The Microsoft Bing package integrates Bing web results into Windows Search, so it may not appear as a separate, launchable app in the Start menu.^1^
Check whether it is installed
- Open Start → Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Search for Microsoft Bing.
- If it appears, the package is installed. Press Windows key + S, enter a web query, and look for Bing web results in Windows Search. Microsoft documents the package as the web-search provider used by Windows Search.^1^
- If you want quick access to the Bing website, open it in your browser and use the browser’s option to pin the page to the taskbar or install it as a site app, if available.
If Microsoft Bing is not under Installed apps
Open its official Microsoft Store page and select Install:
Microsoft Bing ^2^
Alternatively:
- Open Microsoft Store.
- Select Library.
- Find Microsoft Bing, then select Install. Microsoft recommends this Library method for reinstalling Store apps.^3^
- After installation, check Settings → Apps → Installed apps again rather than relying only on Start-menu search.
If the Store says it is installed but it is still missing
Reset the Microsoft Store cache:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter
wsreset.exe. - Select OK.
- Wait for the blank Command Prompt window to close and Microsoft Store to open.
- Return to Microsoft Store → Library, locate Microsoft Bing, and install it again.^4^
If the Store does not offer the app, availability can also depend on your country or region, account settings, or device compatibility.^4^
