A specific functionality or enhancement provided by Windows Copilot
Hello Pierre Demonet,
Projects and Workspaces are currently designed for different purposes. Projects are intended for organizing personal work, including chats, files, tasks, and results, while Workspaces are primarily designed as collaborative spaces, although a Workspace can still remain private.
At this time, there does not appear to be a documented option to transfer an existing conversation directly from a Workspace into a Project. As a practical workaround, you could ask Copilot to summarize the important context and instructions from the original conversation, then copy that summary into a new chat within your Project. This may be easier than copying the entire conversation message by message.
You may also submit feedback through Copilot to request a direct “Move to Project” option, since this would be useful for users reorganizing content created in the earlier Notebook or Workspace experience.
You can find Microsoft’s current explanation of the differences between Projects and Workspaces here: Copilot Notebooks is now Copilot Workspaces. Thank you so much for your understanding.
