Since iTunes no longer syncs my phone and PC, I have been forced to use the apple devices app. But the apple devices app isn't syncing my PC outlook calendar to my iphone calendar. How do I fix this?

The Apple Devices app does not replace iTunes’ Outlook-calendar sync; use direct account synchronization for an Outlook.com/Microsoft 365 calendar, or iCloud for Windows if the calendar is stored only in classic Outlook on the PC.^1^

If the calendar belongs to Outlook.com or Microsoft 365

Connect that account directly to the iPhone Calendar app:

  1. On the iPhone, open Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts.
  2. Select the existing account, or tap Add Account.
  3. Choose:
    • Outlook.com for an Outlook.com/Hotmail account.
    • Microsoft Exchange for a Microsoft 365 or Exchange account.
  4. Sign in and turn Calendars on.
  5. Open the iPhone Calendar app, tap Calendars at the bottom, and select the Outlook calendar.^2^

Before expecting events to appear, sign in to the account’s web calendar and check whether the PC events are visible there. If they are, they are server-based and should synchronize without connecting the phone to the PC.

If Calendars is unavailable in the iPhone account settings, the account was probably configured as IMAP or POP. Those protocols synchronize email only—not calendars or contacts. Delete that account from the iPhone and add it again using Exchange or Outlook.com, as appropriate.^3^

If the calendar exists only in classic Outlook on the PC

Use iCloud for Windows, rather than Apple Devices:

  1. Ensure iCloud is already configured on the iPhone.
  2. Install and open iCloud for Windows.
  3. Sign in with the same Apple Account used on the iPhone.
  4. Select Contacts and Calendars, then click Apply.
  5. Open classic Outlook and confirm the iCloud calendar appears.
  6. On the iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → iCloud and ensure Calendar is enabled.
  7. In the iPhone Calendar app, tap Calendars and select the iCloud calendar.

Microsoft documents iCloud for Windows as the supported way to synchronize calendars and contacts between Outlook and an iOS device.^4^ Apple likewise provides the Outlook calendar-and-contact setup through iCloud for Windows.^5^

This setup synchronizes the iCloud calendar shown in Outlook. If existing appointments are in a separate local Outlook calendar, such as a calendar stored only in a PST, they will not automatically become iCloud events. Copy or move the required appointments into the iCloud calendar after first backing up the Outlook data file.

If iCloud cannot connect to Outlook

  • Confirm that the installed Outlook edition is supported by iCloud for Windows.
  • If iCloud reports that the Outlook version is unsupported, Apple advises removing the Microsoft Store version of Office and installing the Microsoft 365/Office desktop version instead.^6^
  • Restart Outlook after applying the iCloud calendar option and verify that the iCloud calendar is present in Outlook’s Calendar navigation pane.

Do not continue troubleshooting the Apple Devices app for this operation; its documented functions cover device management and media synchronization, not direct Outlook calendar synchronization.
