Hi, do you mean Workspaces inside Microsoft Edge, or a separate app used to access your work desktop?

If it’s Edge Workspaces, enter edge://settings/profiles in the address bar >> sign out >> sign back in with the same account, then try opening the workspace again. Keep your browsing data if prompted when signing out.

If it still won’t open, please share a screenshot showing where it gets stuck, hiding any personal details. Let me know how it goes.

Open the Cloud PC through the Windows 365 web client first; if that works, repair or reset the local Windows App, while a web-client failure should be investigated using the Cloud PC’s connectivity checks.

    1. Test the Cloud PC independently of Windows App

    1. In Microsoft Edge, open https://windows.cloud.microsoft.
    2. Sign in with the same work or school account used in Windows App.
    3. Under Your Cloud PCs, select Open in browser, choose the session settings, and select Connect.

Windows 365 officially supports browser access from Edge and other modern browsers.^1^

    • If the browser connection works: the Cloud PC is available, so continue with the local-client steps below.
    • If the browser also remains stuck: skip to Check the Cloud PC connection.

    2. Check and repair Windows App

If Windows App opens far enough to show its navigation:

    1. Select Health.
    2. Expand See all health checks.
    3. Review Network connection, Service reachability, and Windows version.
    4. Select Check again.
    5. If a check fails, select Open log and provide that log or its error details to your IT administrator.

The Health page is available in Windows App for Windows version [IP Address] or later and is specifically intended to identify device, network, and service-reachability problems.^2^

If the app itself never gets beyond loading:

    1. Close Windows App.
    2. Go to Start → Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
    3. Find Windows App, select its More options (…) menu, and open Advanced options.
    4. Select Repair and reopen the app.
    5. If it still hangs, return to the same page and select Reset, then sign in again.

Repair attempts to fix the application without the broader impact of reinstalling it; Reset clears the app’s local data and settings, but it does not reset or delete the Cloud PC.^3^

If Advanced options is unavailable or Reset does not help, uninstall Windows App from Settings → Apps → Installed apps, reinstall it through its normal organizational or Microsoft Store deployment method, and sign in again.

    3. Check the Cloud PC connection

If both Windows App and the browser fail, use the Cloud PC card at windows.cloud.microsoft:

    1. Select the gear icon on the Cloud PC card.
    2. Select Troubleshoot.
    3. Wait for the connectivity and Azure-resource checks to finish.
    4. Retry only after the result reports No issues detected or Issues resolved.

Do not select Reset as an initial troubleshooting step. Reset reinstalls Windows and removes the Cloud PC’s personal files, apps, and settings.^1^

For an organization-managed Cloud PC, ask the Windows 365 administrator to check:

Microsoft Intune admin center → Devices → All Cloud PCs → select the Cloud PC → Overview → Performance

    • Available: the Cloud PC passed the backend connectivity status check; focus on the endpoint, Windows App, VPN, proxy, or network.
    • Unavailable: select Troubleshoot this connection. The inspection can take several minutes and might restart the Cloud PC.
    • Under Connectivity status, select View report to inspect the failed connection and nearby health-check events.^4^

If Windows App reports a Service reachability failure, test without a VPN or proxy if organizational policy permits, then give the Health log to IT. If the Cloud PC stays Unavailable, Troubleshoot cannot resolve it, or multiple users are affected, the administrator should check Microsoft 365 service health and open a Microsoft support request.

I have tried deleting and reloading the app, logging out and logging back in and closing the app completely.
