Hi guys, I'm having trouble disabling hold symbols, I'm currently using 2 languages for the keyboard but it's quite annoying when I use Vietnamese keyboard, the symbols keep appearing above the letters. Even though I turned that off in the settings. I tried switching to English and it was perfectly normal.154

    Hi, Khôi Nguyễn

Thanks for the screenshots, they help a lot. The Vietnamese layout in SwiftKey has its own built-in tone marks on long press (like the ones on G, H, J, K, L and the đ on X). So it doesn't always follow the "Long-press symbols" switch the way the English layout does.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Turn the switch back on, then off again. Open the SwiftKey app > Layout & keys and do this for "Long-press symbols" (Ký hiệu nhấn và giữ). Then switch to the Vietnamese keyboard again to see if the symbols are gone. Sometimes the setting just doesn't get saved for the second language.

Update the language packs. Go to SwiftKey > Languages and tap the circular arrow in the top-right corner. If the Vietnamese pack is out of date, it can ignore your layout settings.

Try a different layout for Vietnamese. In SwiftKey > Languages, tap the box under Vietnamese and pick another layout (for example, plain QWERTY). Then check if the symbols still show up.

Switch to a minimal theme. The long-press symbols only show on non-minimal themes, so a minimal theme should hide them no matter which language you use.

If none of these work, please send feedback through the SwiftKey app with your phone model and app version so the team can look into it.
