Why has the Junk folder gone from our Outlook email. Can we get it back?

Hi,

Good day. Junk folder is a default Outlook folder. This should not disappear. Let's check for some things to see where the problem situate.

  1. Check the folder list
    • Expand the folder pane on the left.
    • Click More or Show all folders, if available.
    • Check under Deleted Items in case the folder was accidentally moved or deleted.
  2. Check Outlook on the web Sign in at https://outlook.live.com/mail/ and see if the Junk Email folder is there.
    • If it's visible on the web but not in the app, the issue is likely with Outlook's display or sync.
    • If it's missing from both, it could be an account-related issue.
  3. Refresh Outlook and check for updates
    • Close and reopen Outlook.
    • Install any pending Office or Outlook updates.
    • If you're using New Outlook, check Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates.
    • You can also try signing out and back in.
  4. Check Deleted Items If you find the Junk Email folder there, try restoring it. You can also check Recover items deleted from this folder, if available.
  5. Could be an Outlook bug A recent update or temporary synchronization issue could cause folders to disappear from the folder list. You can check Microsoft's known issues here as references: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/support/known-issues/fixes-or-workarounds-for-recent-issues-in-classic-outlook-for-windows https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/support/known-issues/fixes-or-workarounds-for-recent-issues-in-classic-outlook-for-windows

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Jhun
