Fortnite Crew not showing up in game

Check whether Fortnite Crew came from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or was purchased as a standalone Microsoft/Xbox subscription, because only the Game Pass Ultimate benefit has a documented PC redemption path.

If Crew is included with Game Pass Ultimate

Starting November 18, 2025, Fortnite Crew is included with an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription in supported markets. The Xbox account must be connected to the intended Epic Games account.^1^

On Windows 11:

1. Open the Xbox app, and sign in with the Microsoft/Xbox account that owns Game Pass Ultimate.
2. Install Fortnite through the Xbox app for PC.
3. Launch that copy of Fortnite and sign in. Epic states that this first Xbox-app launch triggers redemption of the PC entitlement.^2^
4. Confirm that the Xbox account used above is linked to the same Epic account on which you expect the Battle Pass.

Launching only through Epic Games Launcher may not perform that documented Game Pass Ultimate redemption step.

If you purchased standalone Fortnite Crew through Microsoft

First establish whether Microsoft actually completed the purchase:

1. Sign in to Microsoft Order history using the account used for the purchase.
2. Select Payment & billing → Order history.
3. Adjust the date filter and locate Fortnite Crew.
4. Check its status:
   • Completed or Redeemed: Microsoft recorded the purchase.
   • In progress: it has not yet posted to the payment method.^3^

Also make sure the Microsoft Store/Xbox account that bought Crew is the Xbox account connected to the Fortnite Epic account. Microsoft documents that mismatched Store and Xbox-service accounts can cause an in-game entitlement to be granted to a different active player account.^4^

The available support material does not establish that a standalone Microsoft-billed Crew purchase can be activated by following the Game Pass Ultimate Xbox-app procedure. Do not repurchase it while Epic reports that it is already owned.

About the cancellation

Cancelling or turning off recurring billing does not necessarily remove the current entitlement immediately; it can remain active until the already-paid period ends. If Microsoft shows the subscription as cancelled but Epic still recognizes ownership without providing the benefits, the matching Fortnite Crew case directs the user to Epic Support.^5^

Provide Epic Support with:

• The Microsoft order number and status
• Purchase and cancellation dates
• Xbox gamertag
• Epic display name
• A screenshot showing Get Battle Pass
• A screenshot showing Epic considers Crew already owned

Do not post payment or account details publicly. If the Microsoft order is missing, failed, or attached to another Microsoft account, contact Microsoft Support instead; billing records cannot be corrected by Epic.
