Use Microsoft’s Sign-in Helper with the original Gmail address; because the recovery forms have already failed and the verification address is unfamiliar, this is the official next route for identifying a removed or changed sign-in alias and any support options available for the account.^1^
What to do now
- Open the Microsoft account sign-in helper from the linked Microsoft Support page above.
- Enter the original Gmail address previously used for Microsoft/Minecraft.
- Report that:
- Microsoft sign-in says the account does not exist.
- Minecraft still recognizes the account.
- Verification is being sent to an unfamiliar
@hokimooie.comaddress. - The recovery form has already been attempted unsuccessfully.
- Follow any offered account-specific action. The tool can provide self-help or, depending on its result, an option to contact an agent.^2^
This behavior is consistent with the original Gmail address having been removed as a Microsoft account alias—an address used to sign in—while the underlying account and Minecraft entitlement still exist under another alias. However, only Microsoft’s account systems can determine the account’s actual state.
If the Sign-in Helper offers no recovery route
Contact Microsoft Support using a different Microsoft account that you can access:
- Open Contact Microsoft Support from the support page below.
- Enter Account hacked or compromised and select Get Help.
- If offered, select Contact Support.
- State that the original sign-in alias is no longer recognized and the security information was replaced. Provide:
- Original Gmail address
- Xbox gamertag or Minecraft profile name
- Approximate account creation and compromise dates
- Previous passwords
- Microsoft/Minecraft order numbers and purchase details
- Devices or Xbox consoles regularly used with the account
Contact methods vary by product, scenario, subscription, and operating hours.^3^
Support agents cannot manually send a password-reset link or directly change protected account details, so contacting support does not guarantee restoration.^4^ If instructed to submit the recovery form again, improve it by using a previously trusted device and usual location and supplying old passwords, purchase information, and—if applicable—the hardware ID of a frequently used Xbox console. Results are normally sent to the working contact email supplied on the form within 24 hours.^5^
Do not send a verification code to, contact, or attempt to access the unfamiliar domain. Do not publish passwords, recovery codes, receipts, or complete order details.
Secure everything else immediately
- Change the password of the original Gmail account and enable its strongest available multifactor authentication.
- Change any other account that reused the same password.
- On Windows 10, open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Scan options → Full scan → Scan now before changing more passwords on that PC.^2^
- Review bank/payment activity and contact the financial institution through its official website or phone number if a payment method was linked.
- Preserve Microsoft security messages and purchase receipts; do not delete them.
