Bluetooth is showing on windows 11 pro but cannot find devices

My PC is unable to find my new headset. I have tried many things already, and I cannot think of anything more to try.

I dont think it is the headset, my phone is able to find it but my PC is not.

I have tried;

updating the driver
tried an older driver for bluetooth
turning bluetooth on and off
holding the decive up to the PC cabinet
restaring my computer
set it to automatic in device manager
windows is updated

Is there anything I have missed that might fix this?

The computer is not old either, it was built in 2026 with rather recent components.

Since Bluetooth is present in Device Manager and the headset is discoverable by the phone, the remaining Windows 11 checks most likely to help are these:

Make sure the headset is in pairing mode the entire time the PC is searching.
- Open Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Confirm Bluetooth is on.
- Put the headset back into pairing mode, then keep it close to the PC.
Change Bluetooth discovery to Advanced.
- Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
- Under Device settings > Bluetooth devices discovery, change it from Default to Advanced.
- Try scanning again.
Remove any previous Bluetooth entry for the headset and add it again.
- In Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices, look for any existing entry for the headset.
- Select More options (...) > Remove device.
- Then select Add device and try pairing again.
Check that Airplane mode is off.
